The light followed by a horn and it was Akash. It was a relief for her. Bhoomi directed him to the child and the collapsed grand mother. The kid was terrified with the lightning and she was wet in the heavy rain. Akash left the kid with her and took the grand mother to a nearby hospital. Bhoomi consoled the kid and dried her. She gave the kid some candies and that brought a smile on her face.

The phone rang, It was Akash from the hospital. The grand mother was admitted and he was waiting there for the doctors to examine her. Bhoomi sensed that she have to take care of the kid till her parents are back.

The most awaited response has been received for the open letter

Dear Mr. Right,

This is in regard to the confirmation being seeked from a victim (you) who has been affected by the toxic codes being dropped in the chamber of his heart. I authenticate myself by entering the serial number – “M27I01N2013I18N03A2013I30R062013” and hereby confirm that I take the sole responsibility of infecting your heart. The intrusion was an intended attempt of finding a suitable platform to deploy the code in safe environment where it can run smoothly and enhance the functionalities of already existing modules of heart. It wasn’t by mistake that I came to you because no network other than yours accepted my serial key. I have clicked on “Agree” and accepted the terms and conditions of installing this relation by sharing my source code with you. The evaluation copy will soon transform to a permanent installation if you agree to feed the serial key when prompted. It won’t be a good idea to deny access to this software, since usual functioning of both the platform and the software will get affected to a large extent or rendered useless after the removal. Fortunately the software has already crossed the threshold level where disinfection spells would do the trick. There has been a considerable delay in responding back to the victimized call but this will be compensated with additional function support being provided in the permanent copy.  The long wait to know me is nearing its end, kindly wait until all features of the software become functional :P

The girl who loved the clouds

rainThe battle field is set for another conquer of the dark clouds over the deep blue sky. The moving clouds started to roar. The sun is slowly surrendering to the invasion of the dark horses. It is about to rain.

The first of the season. She is excited about the changes nature bringing. Lets call her ‘Bhoomi’, means the earth.

Bhoomi is a twelve year old girl. She had fallen in love with the rain and the clouds as a child. She waited for the dark blue clouds to move into the canvas of the bright sky with the manly roar. She enjoyed the way the clouds kept the sun behind the background as long as they wanted. She find it fascinating. More over she loved the smell of the earth after the first drizzle of the season.

She loved everything in rain, she had to wait a lot for that special moment to come. But she never missed hearing the clouds, seeing the lightning, smelling the land and feeling the rain.

Am I a true liberal?

On 28/01/2013, in Thoughts, by Gopan K

Firstpost introduced a 8 point test to identify true liberals, my response to the eight points. Inviting comments

#1: Do you place freedom of individuals, their equality and claims to dignity at the centre of your concerns? This means you will not try to pit communal and group identities as the core idea of diversity.

Diversity is a reality without the imaginary barriers like community. Our thought process is surely influenced by the imposed categorisations. We are forced to think alike others of the same clan. But I believe that diversity is an individual property than a group property and yes, freedom means equality and the right to have dignity in the society

The sun stopped smiling,

turned his face towards the horizon

I saw the gentle descent

and the spreading dark.
